The blanket on the bed was old and stained. The tub was not clean. The rooms need to be updated
Free wireless internet and HBO, minifridge in room.
Location is a bit of a walk from downtown on a main street, but it is fine
Not much, we checked out after one hour due to issue witht he cleanliness of the facilities.
Room one - could not move around bed as room ridiculously small, moved to another room. Room 2 - pulled out couch to access power point only to find a used condom. Room 3 - found ky jelly behind bed and toilet bowl had been used for no. 2 and not flushed. Room 4 - Different hotel.
I could say it wasnt one of the best hotels, but hey i got a week stay for a low price so i made the best out of it.
The non smoking rooms still smelled like smoke plus the rugs must've gotten wet which made the room have a meldow oder the blankets had smoke burns n them, the walls n ceiling had holes in them and was patched up
Close to downtown Athens
Beds had 1 thin sheet and very itchy.
It was still walking distance from the center and price is quite OK. Also breakfast is alright and the wifi works.
I am really not picky when it comes to accommodation but Travelodge Athens honoustly is very bad. The windows of the rooms cannot open. First they put me in a smokers room, which was horrendous, then I got changed to a non-smokers room that, however, still smelled bad. This place is just a bad motel, not recommended unless nothing else is available.
The location of the hotel is convenient. Unfortunately, I forgot that the hotel I prefer is next door to this property. The difference is like night & day. I won't make that mistake again!
Old, tattered bed linens. The place desperately needs a paint job. The holes in the walls where a lousy job of mounting the curtain rod really ought to be filled and painted.
Only motel with a room that night in Athens
First, I booked through Booked.net----they had no Record of the booking. Second, sleazy hotel---door was broken, bloody handprint on back of door on inside. Burn marks on sheets from smokers. Had to keep my Kimber 45 next to my bed and get up every 30-60 minutes to make sure no one was stealing my rental car. Basically---a shithole. Your company SUCKS. Don't ever contact me again!!!! At least I didn't get bedbugs!! OR have to shoot some CRACKHEAD---rounds are expensive, but I could have got him from the window.
